TLIF0014 Monitor the Safety of Transport Activities (Chain of Responsibility)

May 31 @ 2:30 pm - 8:30 pm

TLIF0014 Monitor the safety of transport activities (Chain of Responsibility)

Course Description

The Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency, TLIF0014, includes the skills and knowledge required to monitor the safety of ‘transport activities’ and applying chain of responsibility obligations as defined by the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) or applicable State/Territory law and regulations.

Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation broadens accountability to encompass individuals whose actions, inactions, or directives could jeopardise the safety of drivers or other individuals. Any entity with influence within the transport activity can be held accountable and may face legal consequences. If you are an executive or serve as a frontline manager or supervisor overseeing schedulers, packers, loaders, or drivers, or if your role has an impact on any of these positions, it is advisable to enrol in this course.

This Chain of Responsibility course provides you with the skills and knowledge required to:

  • Identify, apply and follow chain of responsibility (CoR) legislation, regulations and workplace procedures in relation to heavy vehicles as they apply to an individual’s own job role.
  • Provides an opportunity to ask questions specific to your job role / business / industry or circumstance.
  • Complete safety documentation of identified transport activities.
  • Implement relevant risk control measures and report actions taken to relevant person in accordance with workplace procedures.
  • Monitor CoR obligations and compliance under the HVNL.
